Soda carbonate is widely used as a pH regulator in stabilizing alkaline mineral products. Dr. Morrow’s newly discovered alkaline mineral formula for hair softening is concentrated with soda carbonate with a derivative of sodium carbonate. It is produced by the Solvay Processing in which it’s produced largely and naturally as a trona deposit from the Green River in Wyoming where it is being mined for cosmetic and industrial use in North America.

Trona hydrogenate and sodium carbonate are mined in several areas of the United States, providing nearly all of the domestic sodium carbonate. They are also mined out of alkaline lakes in Africa with live fish and migrating birds such as Lake Magadi in Kenya. Soda ash is a product with a very high pH that can be defined as an organic and 100% natural product. The composition of this soda ash product is what intrigued Dr. Morrow in pursuing salt and soda ash as a base for his new generation of hair straighteners, hair softeners, and permanent waving products. It is regenerating so that the source will never run dry.

Alkaline minerals can also be extracted from seaweeds and processed by harvesting the seaweed, drying it, and extracting the carbonation---also a source of salt for the Alkaline Mineral™ formula.

STEPS IN APPLYING OVER A PREVIOUS HAIR STRAIGHTNER

Need no scalp basing with grease or oil, spray or est. Use the same procedures as applying to the new growth of a previous relaxed head.

NOTE: Because the salt mineral based product has a different natural chemical effect, different than that of a traditional hydroxide or a cold wave chemical, we do suggest that once the new growth of a previously relaxed head of hair or a previous cold wave curl head of hair. Once the new growth hair has been naturally softened and straightened we recommend that you spread the softer thru to the ends of the hair for 8 to 10 minutes.
This step is recommend to align and adjust the PH from the scalp.

ATTENTION: Be reminded that a softening mineral is hydroxide ph formula is different from a mineral softening formula.

YOUR SOFTNING AND STRAIGHTENING TIME TABLE

Straightening previously cold wave curled hair.
1. Apply conditioner to previously curled hair.
2. Apply mineral softener to the new growth for 20 minutes, for soft hair 25 minutes, for coarse hair 30 minutes. Apply to ends of hair last 10 minutes.

NOTE: This step of pulling hair to the ends uniformly readjusts the ph to an alkaline head.

1. Rinse, shampoo thoroughly, condition.

2. Apply blow drying setting lotions.

3. Wet set or thermo style.

THE THERMO SOFTENING COARSE THICK TEXTURE HAIR|

These steps are designed to remove tangles and coarseness’ from multi-racial hair or children with extreme hair tangling hair problems.

1. Apply to all hair for approximately 20 minutes, for soft hair 25 minutes, for coarse hair 30 minutes. In either texture the results will be tangle free hair.
Hair can be styled by thermo blow-drying, wet setting or thermo curling.

CITRIC ACID SHAMPOOS
FOR CITRILIZING
AND NEUTRALIZING THE HAIR

Citrilizing and Neutralizing Salt Minerals Is the new method in which to improve the function of Sodium Carbonate relaxers. However the Latest new discoveries of salt-mineral formulas by Dr. Morrow need no neutralizing due to their harmless effect on the hair. Both the salt and the soda-ash formulas are 100% natural.

It’s purpose is to bond, interlock the cuticles either in a straight formation or in a curly formation.
Citric acid is a weak organic acid found in citrus fruits. It is a natural preservative and antioxidant. The new term Citriizing™ simply means to cleanse and preserve new formation.

Citrilizing™ and neutralizing the hair is only for the purpose of forming, locking, and bonding her hair to the shape of the roller used to set the hair.
Citrus acid is used to citrilize the hair using lime and citrus.

To define the formulas, they are made from a salt base, mineral salt that relaxes, straightens, and softens the hair, forming a smooth surface and is neutralized with acids from the lime, lemon, and orange industry, creating a protective barrier that protects the hair.

Dr. Morrow’s new softener used to curl, soften, body wave, and naturalize the hair is made from soda ash, a less salt base that that of our salt-based formula. Citrilizing the hair balances the hair bringing down the alkaline natural pH that is often very high due to the salt and the soda ash. In neutralizing the salt-based hair straightener neutralizing the locking in the curl of the alkaline mineral, we recommend that you only use our citric acid formula for pH balancing.

The salt-based formula has a higher pH than the soda-ash base. The salt based formula elongates the protein lengths, changing the matrix structure in the links in the hair, stretching it out to make it longer, without dissolving the hair and making the strand smaller, or making a head of hair look thinner. The citrus acid shampoo can be used in between treatments as a general shampoo.

When balancing a soda-ash formula, use the citric acid shampoo after all rinsing has been done to balance the pH, to lock in curl, preserving one’s natural hair texture. There is no substitute for any of these products.

When neutralizing hair being softened, rinse out all product and shampoo. When hair is being curled permanently on perm wave rods, shampoo hair while hair is still on the rod. Use a hair net to hold rollers in place while shampooing. When the rollers are removed, reapply the net, pulling the curls tightly to the head, and reshampoo the hair. Citrilizing is what you call neutralizing. Make sure you remove all product.
